A decent, well-located hotel with...
- What did you like most?Great location — within easy walking distance of major landmarks including Borough Market, the London Eye, and Tower Bridge. The room was clean and well-priced for the value. An added bonus is the nearby Blackfriars train station, which offers a direct rail connection to Luton Airport, also just a short walk away.
Very poor
- What did you like most? When I arrived with my friend at the hotel late evening 11.30 pm, I was informed by staff and manager that our twin room is not available because of some failure . They told us they are going to cancel our reservation and if we want thay can book us double room in a nearby hotel. I requested the twin room a few days after, and it was accepted online. Because we are 2 males, I refused the offer . The manager told me it was my fault that I hadn't arrived at 4 pm . ??? Really??.I asked why he didn't contact me earlier? He said he didn't have contact to me. I showed him my phone number printed in the reservation. Really poor service. I informed the manager that they have at least a couple of hotels in their chain in London so I requested him to contact them and look for a twin room for us. It was quite a stressful situation around midnight. I said I'm not moving without a solution. It took a while, but they found us the room in Hotel in Docklands instead of Southwark. We agreed to that and they booked us the taxi on their cost ,however they charged me for room in pounds instead of euro which increased the price significantly. I noticed that later, so it was too late to discuss. It was my first situation ever. I choose Holiday Inn as I thought it was good reliable brand . Unfortunately, this time, it was a big mistake. Blaming customer for hotel failure put me off. It's 2 weeks since that and I still can't believe it happened
- Was there anything you didn't like?As above
