We arrived for our five-day stay fairly late in the evening. At check-in, the front desk agent gave us a total of $1,082.00, which included a $100 incidental hold. I inserted my card into the machine, and it prompted me to remove it after approval. However, their system apparently did not register the payment, even though the amount was immediately deducted from my bank account. Before attempting to run my card again, I logged into my bank account and confirmed that the funds had indeed been withdrawn. I showed this to the front desk agent, who contacted the general manager and attempted to troubleshoot the issue. After about ten minutes, she told us they would figure it out in the morning and allowed us to go to our room since it was very late. The next morning, the charge was still pending in my account. My husband and I left for breakfast and errands, then returned to our room before noon and stayed there until we had to leave for a scheduled photo shoot. When we stepped outside to wait for our ride, my husband went back to grab something and discovered our room key no longer worked. We went to the front desk to have it reactivated and were then informed that our keys had been deactivated because payment had not been received. I explained again that the payment had gone through and showed proof on my phone. I was told to email my receipt to the general manager, which I did immediately from the car since we were on a tight schedule. I also contacted my bank and was informed that the payment had successfully processed on their end and that the issue was with the hotel’s system. Despite this, I was told the charge would “fall off” my account, but in the meantime, we needed to pay another $1,000 to continue our stay. At that point, I was extremely frustrated. I agreed only to pay for the previous night and the current night so we could sort it out the next morn
